she’s scammed dozens of people out of money amounting to what seems to be somewhere between one and two thousand dollars (judging by how many people came forward with their accounts on her) on commissions that were either never delivered or made extremely poorly (despite what she claims, she is a very shoddy seamstress who, in all honesty, really should not have the audacity to try to sell her ‘skill’, especially at the prices she has charged). she also took credit for a costume i made and sold to her and basically pulled a lot of really rotten two-faced shit.
there’s lots to it but here’s the call out post from last year. go through the notes for more stories from the many people who have had terrible experiences with her.
i REALLY doubt that she’s changed. she has refunded a few people, but not all (i have personally spoken to and know people who haven’t gotten a cent back from her), and she’s continued to avoid and ignore others. when she was first called out she promised never to take commissions again, but here she is. i would be EXTREMELY wary commissioning anything from her- not just because you may never receive your commission or your money back, but because her work is of very low quality anyway. there are many more much more trustworthy commissioners now out there who will deliver you a quality custom project and not run off with your money to support their own hobby instead while blocking you from all methods of contacting them ever again.
feel free to reblog this post, because people deserve to know the history of someone they may be considering commissioning.
heaven’s various profiles can be found here: http://dersiite.flavors.me
small update: the number of 100% confirmed people who haven’t ever gotten their money back from her is currently at 5. there are likely several more. i’ll be compiling screencaps and proof soon. please let me know if you or anyone you know has been scammed by heaven and still not gotten money back.
important update 07/16: heaven has definitely seen this post, because she’s deleted her flavors, her tumblr, and made her instagram private. unfortunately, that’s why google cache and screencaps are a wonderful thing, so here’s some links:
cache of her flavors with a listing of her accounts (deleted, along with her tumblr)
screencap from her cospix account where she describes herself as a commissioner (categories not deleted yet, but she’s likely to do so since she deleted other evidence of trying to open commissions again so i capped it)
since she’s definitely going to see this and already has, i’d like to point out the obvious to heaven: trying to delete the evidence of your awful behaviour and your backpedaling on promises to never take commissions again isn’t going to do anything for you. too many people have been watching what you’re doing, and until you take some actual responsibility, like, say, refunding everyone you still owe money to over the past two years instead of taking on new commissions and continuing to blow money on cosplays and trips for yourself, you can’t be trusted with anyone’s money. people aren’t going to just forget this because you’ve attempted to rebrand yourself. you have burned too many people and you still haven’t made amends.
since posting this last night i’ve gotten a load of testimonials and further proof in my inbox of her bad behaviour and scamming (including plenty of stories of people who hadn’t spoken up the first time she was called out), and I will be posting them once I am able to use something other than my phone.
important update added.
be careful out there, guys. not all commissioners have your best interests in mind.
vriska doodle cause vriska is cool
im going to be honest guys. the cosplayingwhileblack tumblr is stupid. it’s perfectly okay what your race, height, size, shape, etc is. but come on. making a tumblr cosplay blog only to showcase cosplayers of a single race? why not just have a cosplaying blog that can appreciate all races?
Why do you question having ‘a’ cosplay blog that appreciate all races, instead of wondering why cosplay blogs in general aren’t more inclusive in the first place?
I see so many complaints like this and I agree. This blog shouldn’t have to exist but it does because despite so much talk about cosplay positiveness and unity I’m still seeing loads of blogs and sites that only seems to want to portray fair-skinned and thin cosplayers, of course their are the few that throw in a plus-size, dark-skinned, or non-able bodied cosplayer every now and then for a shield of diversity.
Like really, with the amount of only White and Asian cosplayers blogs that exist and you only have something to say about the one blog that showcase black cosplayers???
This blog and blogs similar to it were created as a direct result of being excluded and yet ya’ll keep pounding on our doors and asking us to let you in.
No one should have to make a cosplay blog that appreciate all races, cosplay blogs should already be pass this point and until they do get on that level blogs like mines are going to keep on existing.
If you agree with the OP, I want you to ask yourself how many black cosplayers you find on your dashboard (news feed, etc.) that don’t come from the cosplayer themselves or blogs like cosplayingwhileblack. I’m willing to bet that for most of you the answer is zero.
